Former Premier League referee Mark Halsey says Jose Mourinho should apologise for some of his comments made towards officials this season, reports BBC Sport.
Mourinho is appealing an FA fine for saying referees are afraid to award Chelsea penalties after the defeat by Southampton and he was sent off at half-time in the 2-1 loss to West Ham on Saturday.
"I've known him a long time and he wears his heart on his sleeve but sometimes you have to take a step back and think about what you are saying," Halsey said.
"When you are criticising the ref and his integrity then we can't do that. You have to be honest with yourself and sometimes it would be good to see Jose be honest and apologise for what he sometimes says to referees."
