A judge Friday ordered three men to stand trial for the killing of a 19-year-old who was shot outside a South Los Angeles carwash last summer over the color of his red shoes.
Kanasho Johns, 28; Dwight Kevin Smith, 30; and Kevin Deon Johnson, 25, will be arraigned on murder charges later this month in connection with the shooting death of Tavin Price, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge M.L. Villar ordered.

For 10-year-old Aman Vishwakarma from Uttar Pradesh, India, his terrifying brush with death could be described as nothing less than a miracle. Jurgen Klopp has revealed he was once approached to become Manchester United manager, but did not want to leave Borussia Dortmund at the time. The 48-year-old will coach Liverpool against its fierce rival for the first time on Sunday after replacing Brendan Rodgers at the helm in October.

Klopp received multiple offers after leaving Germany but was also in demand while still in charge at Dortmund, and admitted that United was one of the clubs who had expressed an interest "in April" - likely of 2013, when Sir Alex Ferguson was due to retire.

The first case of Lassa fever has been recorded in Lagos state. Minister of Healt!h, Isaac Adewole, who made this known, said the patient is a 25 year old student of the Ahmadu Bello University who traveled from Zaria. He said the patient has now been isolated at the Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit of the hospital. Ribavirin is also available.

He asked that residents of the state must not panic as government is working to stop the spread of the disease.
The Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Olufemi Fasanmade said:

“Containment area being devised, ribavirin available. We will use theatre in A&E as isolation ward. No need to panic. But limit movement to A&E if not necessary. Our trained staff on ground.”

Lassa fever is transmitted by infected rodents.

Tyson Fury steps out in his customised £9000 fur coat

British heavyweight boxer, Tyson Fury, is up to his provocative ways again. In a move sure to outrage animal rights campaigners, the 27-year-old boxer was pictured heading out to lunch in Manchester with a male friend in a bold furry coat that is believed to made from chinchilla fur. The grey knee-length coat is believed to be from New York label, Marc Kaufman and is said to cost £9,000 ($13,000).

Looks like militants are taking advantage of the call for the arrest Tompolo to cause mayhem in the Niger Delta region. Today, they continued with their bombing of oil installations in Warri South West LGA of Delta. They reportedly blew up the Abiteye flow station and Sagara to Chevron pipelines.

Many residents of the area have fled while some are said to be trapped. Tompolo has since denied being involved in the bombings

2 die of lassa fever in Ondo state, 30 people quarantined

Two people have died in Ondo state following an outbreak of Lassa fever in the stat. 30 people who had contact with the victims when alive, have been quarantined in order to curtail any further spread.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dayo Adeyanju, and a team of health workers had since Wednesday been moving across the local governments of the state to raise awareness on the disease and educate residents on measures to check the outbreak.

Man loses control and crashed his £200k Ferrari

One unfortunate driver lost control of his £200K Ferrari 458 Italia in wet snowy conditions & crashed into a garden fence in Cyncoed, Cardiff. Thankfully, no one was hurt but that's more than can be said of the supercar. The bonnet was completely crumpled in the collision leaving it mangled and arching up, while the bumper was practically broken into two pieces. See photos below.

Marathon bomber loses bid for new trial, told to pay $101M

A federal judge on Friday rejected Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's bid for a new trial and ordered him to pay victims of the deadly attack more than $101 million in restitution.
The restitution order, issued by Judge George O'Toole Jr., is seen as largely symbolic because Tsarnaev is in federal prison and has no ability to pay.
Tsarnaev, 22, was convicted and sentenced to death last year in the 2013 attack. Two pressure cooker bombs placed near the marathon finish line by Tsarnaev and his brother killed three people and injured more than 260 others.

Just days after husband's death, family announce that Celine Dion's brother is dying of cancer

Celine Dion's older brother Daniel is dying of cancer, the family has announced just days after the singer's husband, Rene Angelil died from a long battle with cancer. Claudette Dion, one of the 14 siblings, said that Daniel, 59, did not have a long time left on earth and that it was the third time he had been diagnosed with cancer.

"It looks a lot like René, he had cancer of the throat, tongue and brain," said Claudette. "Our family is very experienced." she said to the journal of Montreal. "He is 59 years old,very young to be the end of life. We are with Daniel, day and night," she said.

Daniel is surrounded by family, including their 89-year-old mother.

Justice Adama Iye Iyayi-Lamikanra hails is an indigene of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State while her late husband hailed from Rivers State and the present husband is Yoruba.
Governor Wike insisted that the rule of law and respect for the laid down succession be followed in the appointment. This is the first it is happening in the country.
Speaking during the swearing-in of the Rivers State reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continue to accord women their rightful positions in government, no matter the circumstances.

Nigerian international, and Watford player Odion Ighalo has been awarded the prize for the best player in the English Premier League for the month of December. Hhe enjoyed a fruitful month in which he scored five goals including crucial strikes against Norwich and Sunderland.
